The Helmholtz Zentrum München in Munich, Germany, is member of one of the leading research associations in Europe - the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. The aim of our research is to proactively detect health risks involving humans and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing concepts for prevention and therapy.
The Research School ''Lung Biology and Disease'' is an international, interdisciplinary, and structured MD and PhD training program, established at the Comprehensive Pneumology Center (CPC) in Munich, Germany, a translational lung research center and member of the German Center for Lung Research (DZL). The Research School functions under the auspices of the Helmholtz Zentrum München - German Research Center for Environmental Health and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), thereby providing an excellent and inspiring research environment.
The Research School is designed to attract and promote outstanding and highly motivated MD, MD/PhD or PhD students from the basic and medical sciences by an internationally renowned faculty. Over a period of 3 years, students benefit from comprehensive teaching curricula and close mentorship while performing cutting edge research projects in translational medicine.
