Master Program in Environment & Sustainable Development, University Sherbrooke, Canada (2016-2017)

The environment and sustainable development are two fields in which a range of disciplines are brought to bear. In an effort to respond to the growing needs of society, University Centre for Environmental and Sustainable Development Studies (CUFE) has developed applied and interdisciplinary master's programs in these fields. Seven faculties take part in these programs (Administration, Law, Education, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Medicine and Health Sciences, and Science), which completely decompartmentalizes learning activities and provides for integrating all aspects of sustainable development into training.

THE CUFE'S REPUTATION

The interdisciplinarity nature of programs bringing in students for varied disciplines such as fundamental and earth science, engineering, land-use planning, administration, and law. Its skills-based approach that enables students to better prepare for professional practice and intervene as agents of change. Its varied teaching approaches such as case studies, projects in collaboration with the professional community,coaching, debates, and discussion as well as working on multidisciplinary teams.

The CUFE is currently looking for international applicants with an advanced knowledge of spoken and written French and who want to earn a Canadian master's in environmental management.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to perfect their knowledge of French before tackling stimulating and recognized training in this field.

*With respect to program recruitment, advanced knowledge of French implies that you readily understand the language and that you are able to speak fluently and express an opinion (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
