Aalto University School of Chemical Technology invites applications for Postdoctoral researchers in the Aalto-Valio Postdoctoral Program

Following the guiding principles to continuously develop innovative products and technologies in the dairy and food industry and to “make the best”, Valio Ltd (http://www.valio.com/) has partnered with Aalto University School of Chemical Technology (http://chem.aalto.fi/en/) to create the Aalto-Valio Postdoctoral Program.

In this program we will consider innovative and high impact scientific research in several topics, such as:

- Use of complex starters to manage phages

- Structure and stability in milk powders – optimization of evaporation and drying technologies

- Routes for commercial lactose valorization

The Aalto-Valio Postdoctoral program offers one year fellowships to highly motivated candidates. Extensions to three years can be considered.

The positions are to be based in Aalto University’s campus in Espoo, Finland. The positions will entail close interactions with Valio’s scientists combined with a multidisciplinary team of professors from Aalto University.

Scientists and scholars of disciplines related to the topics (e.g. biotechnology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, polymer technology, surface and colloid chemistry, chemical engineering) are invited to apply. Preference will be given to highly-qualified applicants who have completed their doctorate in the last three years.
