The recently established Cellular Homeostasis and Quality Control lab studies the interplay of cell size and cell function in the context of physiological cell growth and cell senescence. We are located in the Institute of Biochemistry on the ETH Zürich Hönggerberg campus. We are currently seeking a motivated assistant who will be instrumental in setting up the lab and conducting preliminary experiments in the fields of growth homeostasis and replicative aging using budding yeast as a model organism. The position is limited for a duration of 6 months. There is an option to continue working in the lab as a PhD student afterwards, depending on mutual interest. This position is ideal for a Master student who is undecided whether or not to pursue a PhD. Anticipated starting date is June 1 or upon agreement.
