The duration of the positions is initially limited up to September 30th, 2018. The salary is in accordance with the German public service salary scale, a New York allowance will be provided.

The University of Duisburg-Essen in cooperation with Cornell University Medical College and Memorial-Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, welcomes applications for 11 PhD and 2 MD/ PhD for a three-year structured program in the field of the "Biomedicine of Sphingolipids" focusing on the role of the acid sphingomyelinase/acid ceramidase/sphingosine kinase system in signaling, tumor biology and treatment, inflammation and infectious biology as well as cardiovascular diseases. Focus is the translation of sphingolipid biology into pre-clinical and clinical projects.
