As part of a new European ERC project, the University of Rennes (France) is opening postdoctoral and PhD positions on the study of reactive mixing processes in porous media flows. The project will investigate the dynamics of fluid mixing interfaces that create highly reactive hotspots of chemical and microbiological activity, whether in engineered or natural porous media. Applications include geothermal systems, CO2 sequestration, contaminant remediation, underground storage, filters or flow-through reactors.
