Description
Do emotions have a history? And do they make history? These are the questions that the new Research Center “History of Emotions” seeks to answer. This conference seeks to unravel the close connections between politics, spaces and feelings. The conference will be held in English from 25-27 May 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

The aim is to interrogate three interlinked ways of politicizing and emotionalizing spaces:

With the Fifth American Studies Leipzig Graduate Conference “Urban America: Mediating City Space as Place,” participants will explore the cultural, social, and political production of spatial realms and places in an interdisciplinary framework. Possible topics to examine the construction, mediation, and representation of urban spaces and places can be located in literature, culture, history, sociology, and politics. While proposals from any of these fields are welcomed, all presenters are strongly encouraged to analyze “urban place-making processes“ across 2 disciplinary boundaries.

18-23/4/2016- Training course "Virtual Mobility in Youth Projects" (Benicassim (Valencia), Spain)

During 5 days the participants will discover around 20 new tools to develop "virtual mobilities" of youth in the frame of Erasmus+, and also will improve their skills in using the traditional ICT tools. We will also work on the specific learning outputs (Youthpass) connected with the virtual mobility activities. Finally we will develop a specific output, consisting of a set of proposals to include "virtual mobility" activities to Youth Exchanges, to EVS, to Youth Workers activities and to KA2 strategic partnerships.
