The Blue Book Traineeship programme is a five-month paid internship offered by the European Commission, providing young graduates from around the world with hands-on experience in EU policymaking and administration.

Trainees work in a multicultural environment, develop professional skills, and gain insights into the operations of EU institutions.

The training periods start on 1 March and 1 October each year.

The Single Resolution Board (SRB) is offering 10 traineeship positions across all its units as part of the European Commission’s Blue Book traineeship programme. This traineeship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in an EU agency and contribute to the stability of Europe’s financial system.

Trainees will have the opportunity to work in various fields, including finance, economics, policy, communications, law, ICT, human resources, and banking. The programme is designed to provide insight into the work of the SRB and the broader EU institutional framework.

The traineeship programme offers first-hand experience of how the Council and the EU work. Around 100 paid traineeship positions are available each year.

Twice a year, the Council offers 5-month paid traineeships in Brussels:

16 February to 15 July (first period)
1 September to 31 January (second period)
