The European Parliament offers different traineeships within its Secretariat in order to contribute to the vocational training of young citizens, and to the understanding of the working of the institution. These traineeships are awarded for a period of five months.

The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) announces traineeship opportunities lasting up to six months[2] for graduates who are either nationals of an EU member state or an EFTA country or an IPA qualifying country[3]. The traineeships are based at the Institute's premises in Vilnius, Lithuania.

From October 2020, the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) is seeking to recruit six trainees to assist in its research, event organisation and outreach activities. This will provide an opportunity for selected candidates to build research skills; develop experience working in an Agency of the European Union; gain exposure to policy-oriented research; and deepen their understanding of EU foreign and security policy mechanisms and priorities. The traineeship promises to be an interesting and rewarding opportunity for career and personal development.

The European Maritime Safety Agency offers traineeships for a period of at least 3 months and at most 6 months. The traineeship program aims to provide trainees with work experience in the field of maritime safety legislation, response to pollution at sea and cooperation among member states in maritime related matters. Inservice training enables trainees to acquire practical experience by means of their work and put into practice in a “maritime focussed” environment the knowledge they have acquired during their academic studies or professional careers.
