Multiple Research Position Openings, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics
1. Postdoctoral Research Fellowships/Assistant Scientists available for both Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics projects in the Slingerland laboratory which is part of the interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) at Georgetown University, Washington DC.
Projects investigate 1) novel roles of p27 in transcriptional co-regulation of cJun and other transcription factors; mechanisms governing coactivation vs co-repression by p27; and novel transcriptional roles for p27 in development, stem/progenitor cell maintenance and cancer 2) links between estrogens, NFB, obesity, inflammation, and breast cancer stem cells; 3) roles of pre- and post-menopausal estrogens to direct ER-mediated gene expression programs in breast, ovarian and uterine cancers.
