DESY develops novel silicon pixel detectors for particle physics. The project Tangerine (Towards Next Generation Silicon Detectors) is dedicated to the development of monolithic active CMOS pixel detectors (MAPS) in a novel 65nm imaging process. This potentially opens up new horizons for the next generation of silicon pixel detector. For the development of groundbreaking detector prototypes in international cooperation with world-leading institutes, DESY is looking for two post-doctoral researchers with a focus on device simulation and test beam integration of pixel detectors. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team pushing silicon detectors to the next level and will have the unique opportunity to shape the development of a new detector prototype from the very beginning of the project.
