Traineeship on environmental sustainability in banknotes production at European Central Bank

You will be part of the Production Section in the Directorate Banknotes. Our Directorate has about 70 staff working to ensure the integrity of euro banknotes as an efficient means of payment and protect them against counterfeiting. In particular, the Directorate coordinates all banknote development and production activities, including those related to quality management, across the Eurosystem and with third parties. The Production Section is responsible for coordinating and monitoring euro banknote production, including the accreditation of manufacturers; assuring compliance with health and safety and environmental, security, and quality standards; the approval of production references in printing works and paper mills; and providing technical support in the development of new banknote series.
