The Engineering Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for manufacturing project management and CAPEX management in the factory, in order to ensure added value projects are identified, planned, and implemented according to the objectives and in compliance with standards and management processes.
Ensures technical support at the realization of market-related projects under the mission of " best practice" and optimum "speed to the market".
Provides a long-term vision with regard to new technologies, to ensure that the factory remains competitive and that product quality always meets or exceeds customers' expectations. At the same time, ensures that investments meet Global Engineering standards (SAP EAM CAPEX).
Manages external Engineering services, consultants, contractors, and vendors to implement projects within schedule and budget according to the company’s quality standards.
Manages the capital investment budget.
Defines and establishes engineering cost management processes with regards to overhead & conversion costs and capital spending in order to ensure optimum cost and provide accurate forecasts/reports to Finance.
Ensures the planning and adherence to maintenance, repair, and energy budgets of the factory.
Manages, plans, and controls engineering cost center and all cost elements under responsibility (GME/GFE).
Ensures efficiency of project decisions, technical maintenance, repair, and modernization of equipment. Controls observance of project and construction documentation. Ensures timely preparation of technical documentation (drawings, technical conditions).
Leads and coordinates factory projects, including contractor management. Responds to and implement the factory management requirements and plans. Prepares and submits the necessary documents for approval by local authorities upon the necessary engineering activity needs.
Coordinates and leads the Engineering areas to conduct and implement the maintenance programs for the factory Utilities, Facilities (for instance, but not limited to water, electrical supply, compressed air, heating/cooling, fire-fighting equipment, compressed air, dedusting) and ensures the proper functioning for the related equipment. Provides full engineering support to the different factory departments.
Follows labor safety, fire protection, environmental, and hygienic company rules. Ensures the implementation of all policies and procedures in these fields during the activities of the Engineering, as well as during the implementation of projects and activities of the contractor.
Leads Energy Management activities and Energy Management Systems. Ensure the proper utility consumption data reporting between the factory and local municipality for the actual and future planned consumptions.
