Job description: You will join the PhD program of the ZMNH and will carry out a thesis project focusing on one of the subprojects within the research unit. You will apply methods such as advanced live cell imaging, super-resolution and electron microscopy, molecular biology, biochemistry, mouse genetics, mouse behavioral analysis, optogenetics and/or electrophysiology to investigate structural, molecular or functional changes in synaptic and network connectivity and the impact on behavior, health and disease. The position is a three year German university position.
Your profile: We are looking for highly motivated applicants who hold a university Master's/Diploma degree in biology or other fields of life and natural sciences. Experience in one of the above-mentioned techniques would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to efficiently integrate in a multidisciplinary research team are expected.
