Clear communication is essential for explaining ticket options, prices, and policies to customers. This includes verbal communication where fluent ENGLISH is essential. The company also looks for great written communication for emails, website, platforms, messages, etc.
Sales Skills:
Ticket sellers must be able to convince customers to buy tickets.
Organisational Skills:
In addition to selling tickets, the Reception is responsible for managing ticket inventory, keeping track of sales, generating reports, table planning, etc. Organisational skills are crucial for staying on top of these tasks.
Familiarity with Computer & Bookings Software:
Good Computer skills is required for the position.
Responsibility Skills:
The Reception must be comfortable handling cash and making change, as well as processing credit card payments.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Inevitably, ticket sellers will encounter problems such as sold-out events, customer complaints, or technical issues. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for resolving these issues quickly and effectively.
Multitasking:
Reception department also handles multiple tasks at once, such as answering phone calls, processing online bookings, assisting customers in person and on social platforms like Viber or WhatsApp messages and the department inventory.
Attention to Detail:
Mistakes in ticket sales or bookings, such as double bookings or incorrect pricing, can be costly. Attention to detail is crucial for avoiding these errors.
Patience:
Dealing with a high volume of customers, particularly during the time of the show, can be stressful. Patience is important for maintaining a positive attitude and making sure the entrance/ beginning of the show is perfect.
Teamwork:
The Reception often works as part of a larger team, such as a table manager, the director, management in general, the account department. The ability to work well with others is important for a harmonious workplace.
