14/03/2016 - Arizona State University Online Course on Solar Systems Astronomy

This summer Arizona State University is offering an open online course, ‘Introduction to Solar Systems Astronomy’. This course covers the history of astronomy, properties of light, instruments, the study of the solar system and nearby stars. The overall objective of this course is to explore the origins, structure, contents, and evolution of our solar system and exosolar planetary systems. The credit-eligible course starts on March 14, 2016. Instructor of the MOOC will be Dr. Frank Timmes, astrophysicist who is interested in the universe’s evolving composition and its implications for life in the universe.

Eligibility:
- Everybody interested in astronomy, solar systems and related topics;
- Have stable internet access;
- Abide to all course and academic integrity policies throughout the entire course;
- You must receive a passing grade of a C or better in the course to get Verified Certificate.
