The MiRoR network aims at creating, in Europe, an innovative and ambitious multidisciplinary intersectoral joint doctoral training programme dedicated to Methods in Research on Research in the field of clinical research. “Research on Research” is an emerging new scientific discipline that aims to reduce waste in research and increase research value.
We are recruiting 15 PhD students to be trained to become the future generation of European researchers who will revolutionise clinical research and improve public health.
The recruited PhD students will benefit from a strong and innovative training programme, secondment in academic and non-academic institutions, a joint supervision from academic and non academic researchers. They will obtain 2 doctorate certificates from 2 universities participating in the consortium, they will be employed by the host institution full time for three years starting in September or October 2016 and they will benefit from a monthly living allowance, a family allowance (where applicable) and a mobility allowance, according to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions’ rules for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs).
Description
This joint doctoral programme on Methods in Research on Research (MiRoR) in clinical research will train students via high-level individual personalised research projects with important exposure to other academic and non-academic sectors.
The training programme will feature:
- Core, formalised, research courses to increase students’ knowledge and skills in Advanced Methods in Research on Research;
- Transferable skills training, which constitutes an important and integral part of the education of a modern researcher and will ensure a successful transition from a PhD researcher to a professional career.
