The PhD program is closely tied to the teaching, training and research of the Department of Human and Social Sciences, yet it is motivated by the ‘global’ approach that characterizes "L'Orientale" . The main aim of the program is to train experts according to a wide, interdisciplinary and international vision of current issues and realities, in the fields of history, history of thought, history of gender, and current geopolitical, economic, institutional and cultural studies. The training and research of the PhD student will therefore include the following scientific fields: history, law, economics, philosophy, geo- political studies, cultural and post-colonial studies, which lie at the center of the teaching, training and scientific articulation of the program.
