The International Giessen Graduate Centre for the Life Sciences (GGL) and the Ph.D. Programme of the Faculties of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine invite applicants for the Doctoral Programmes in the Life Sciences
The Doctoral Programmes consist of an experimental thesis project combined with a three-year interdisciplinary graduate course curriculum leading to a dissertation. Each doctoral researcher will be supervised by two professors from different faculties and will benefit from our Doctoral Development Programme. Seminars and courses are conducted in English; German language courses are offered for international students. Currently available are 11 research projects in the newly funded Collaborative Research Center 1213 – “Pulmonary Hypertension and Cor Pulmonale” as well as one in the area of physical chemistry.

Preconditions for application are a Master´s degree or equivalent (Diploma/Master in life science and all related fields) and Proficiency in English (CEFR: level B2).
Applicants should have very good communication skills in German & English and a high motivation to perform team-oriented as well as independent work. Technical skills within the intended research area are expected.
