The Campus Funktionswerkstoffe und –strukturen invites applications for the coordinated PhD program
Selforganizing multifunctional structures for adaptive high performance lightweight constructions
Involved in the program which is founded by the Lower Saxony PhD program are the disciplines of physics, chemistry, mathematics, materials science and engineering. The aim of the doctoral program is the interdisciplinary training of young scientists on the highly topical field of new materials achieved with innovative structuring processes with a focus on functional materials.
The program has set itself the goal of providing outstanding education in excellent research projects with the shortest possible time to doctorate without quality loss. Entry to the program is possible to graduates with a master or diploma degree in any engineering discipline, physics, chemistry or mathematics.
As an equal opportunities employer, the Clausthal University of Technology has set itself the strategic aim of significantly increasing the proportion of women. Female scientists are therefore particularly encouraged to apply. Equally qualified candidates with disabilities will be given preference.
Up to 18 new Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-Scholarships will be granted starting October 1 2016.
