The Chair of Macroeconomics (Prof. Winfried Koeniger, PhD) is recruiting: PhD Students

The chair is part of the Department of Economics at the University of St.Gallen and located at the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research (http://www.sew.unisg.ch/en/makrooekonomik) on the university campus.

The focus of the chair is on macroeconomics. PhD students will take the diet of core courses within the PhD program in economics and finance (www.pef.unisg.ch). The PhD students also have the possibility to apply for the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics at the Study Center Gerzensee (http://www.szgerzensee.ch/courses/doctoral/swiss-program/).

The positions offer a salary according to standard university guidelines.

The successful applicant should hold a Master degree in Economics and have a research interest in macroeconomics (theory and/or empirics). Very good writing and quantitative skills are essential. Fluency in English is required.
