In this call, we will recruit up to 10 postdoctoral fellows of highest international standing to further strengthen the top-level research staff at the Kumpula Science Campus, University of Helsinki. The positions for two plus one years are intended for promising researchers and future research leaders who are starting to conduct independent research and who aim to establish a research group at the University of Helsinki.
UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI (Est. 1640) is one of the leading research universities in the world. More than 500 doctorates are completed annually and nearly 10 000 scientific articles or monographs are published yearly by the university’s researchers. The Kumpula Science Campus is the largest and most versatile cluster of scientific competence in the Nordic countries.
Helsinki has been ranked as the World's Most Liveable City (Monocle, 2011) and is the capital city of Finland. Finland is in the top 10 of the most highly educated nations in the world (OECD, 2013) and has been selected as the world’s best country to live in (Newsweek, 2010). Finland has a comprehensive social security and health care system, including exceptionally good parental leaves and children's day care services.
We are looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with excellent training in chemistry, com-puter science, geosciences and geography, mathematics and statistics, or physical sciences to work at the University of Helsinki (Kumpula Science Campus).
