3 PhD Positions, School of Health Sciences, University of Tampere, Finland (2017)

The School of Health Sciences (HES) at the University of Tampere invites applications for THREE DOCTORAL STUDENT POSITIONS. The duration of the position is one to four years. Selected students must begin the position between 1 January 2017 and 1 June 2017.

The individuals selected in the positions will pursue a doctoral degree in one of the doctoral programs of the School of Health Sciences at the University of Tampere. The expected duration of full-time studies is four years. Fixed-term contracts can be drawn up for a period of one to four years; the length of the contract depends on the candidate’s current stage of studies and when they expect to graduate.

The terms of the dissertation work are defined in the doctoral student’s personal study and supervision plan. These are also used to monitor progress annually. The personal study and supervision plan includes a detailed annual working schedule.

In addition to the thesis work, doctoral students are expected to teach or perform other duties related to their studies at the School. These duties may not exceed five per cent of their total working hours.
