Computational Scientist in Simulation and/or Data Science, Cyprus Institute, Cyprus

Description of the position:
- The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) of CyI invites applications for a Computational Scientist with expertise in Simulation and/or Data Science. The position is within the EU H2020 VI-SEEM project and the successful candidate is expected to participate in the development of strategies for data management and repositories and to enable research in diverse scientific areas.

Job Requirements Candidate Profile:
- PhD degree in the field of computer science, computational sciences such as physics, chemistry, engineering, applied mathematics or any other relevant field;
- Experience in data repositories;
- Experience in programming with C, C++;
- An understanding of high performance computing, scalable programming and data repository architectures;
- Analytical problem solving ability;
- Proficiency in oral and written English;
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
