Brepols is currently recruiting for the post of Bibliographer at its Thessaloniki office (Greece)
Your role
As a bibliographer you will be responsible for cataloguing publications, preparing bibliographic records, assigning keywords or editing existing records, in close relation with collaborators and specialists abroad. Topics will cover European history, theology and religion, and other fields in the humanities.
Your profile
• A relevant masters degree in history (preferably medieval or early modern European history) or theology and religious studies (including Church history)
• A broad knowledge of European history and cultures, across countries, periods, languages and disciplines
• Very good command of English or French; knowledge of German and/or an East European language will be considered an advantage
• Familiarity and experience of using academic databases
• Ability to manage and develop the international network of contributors and research partners for the Bibliography/projects
• Good project management skills and ability to supervise the work of external contributors
• Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Editorial experience or proofreading skills will be an advantage
