In the role of Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the process from design to start-up. In doing this, you will work together with all technical disciplines.
Your tasks include:
• Supervising a team of Piping Engineers
• Responsible for the piping engineering activities
• Ensuring that deliverables meet the specified level of quality
• Assisting the project teams in obtaining Client and Third party approvals
• Preparing proposal estimates and act to changes during execution
• Material selection
• Assess vendor quotations and prepare technical bid evaluations
• Eliminate uncertainties in the bids in close cooperation with the procurement department
• Attend pre-award meetings to clarify and ensure that all essential technical requirements are fully understood
• Witness valve testing and carry out inspections on piping related items
• Coaching the junior engineers
• In charge of communication with all involved parties concerning technical aspects of the project Coordinating of design appraisals
Candidate Profile:
• A HTS/TU graduate [Technology College or Technical University] in civil or mechanical engineering or a comparable field
• Good knowledge of Codes and Standards, such as RToD, EN 13480, ASME Codes, API/ASTM Standards, ISO Codes, SSPC Codes, DNV Codes, , ICE Codes, NFPA Codes.
• Strong knowledge of engineering phases, materials, isometrics, valves, piping stress- and support calculations
• Knowledge of piping calculations, document processing and databases
• Willingness to work on international and multidisciplinary projects
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in English in word and writing and knowledge of Dutch language
• 6 to 10 years relevant work experience in the O&G engineering and design industry
• Stress resistant and flexible
• A HTS/TU graduate [Technology College or Technical University] in civil or mechanical engineering or a comparable field Offered is a year contract with the possibilty of extension.
