MPI-SWS is part of the world-renowned network of Max Planck research institutes (MPIs) and offers doctoral programs in collaboration with universities. Graduate students are involved in research from day one, and receive individual training and mentorship from MPI-SWS faculty, preparing them for leadership in academic or industrial research. All admitted students receive full funding for the duration of the program.
Requirements
Admission to the graduate program is highly competitive. Successful candidates should have a four-year Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree from a leading institution of higher education, creativity and aptitude for research in a dynamic multi-cultural team, and proficiency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of the German language is not required.
