The PhD Program is a four-year fully-funded program, which combines an intensive course component with active research and teaching experience, preparing the PhD students for competitive careers at national and international academic institutions and industry.
PhD Research Scholars receive their own office space within the Institute and enjoy a highly stimulating and rewarding research environment. The PhD Research Scholars receive feedback on their work through close interaction with their supervisor/s, and faculty during regular seminars. PhD Research Scholars are required to combine their studies and research with work as a teaching and/or research assistant during their employment period.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants with research interests that fit best with the research interests of the Institute.
Salary
The annual salary for the PhD Research Scholar position is currently CHF 55 000 gross (equivalent to approximately EUR 52 000 or USD 55 000). This salary ensures a fair standard of living in Switzerland and is subject to Swiss taxes. Mandatory health care is not included.
The city of Neuchâtel is located on the side of the lake and close to skiing resorts (cross country and alpine).
Start date in August 2017.
