University College of Southeast Norway was established 1 January 2016, and has about 18 000 students and about 1500 employees. The university college is organized in four faculties, with instruction and R&D activities on eight campuses. The main profile of the university college is to provide socially relevant education, geared towards specific professions, and adapted to the requirements of the workplace, as well as to produce applied research and development.
Up to 10 Research fellows at Department of Microsystems
The Faculty of Technology, Natural Sciences and Maritime Sciences is announcing up to 10 PhD positions. The positions are offered by the Department of Microsystems which is located at Campus Vestfold in Horten, Norway.
The PhD positions are listed below together with a short project description, contact name and formal application requirements. Applicants must refer to the number/name of the project which the application is related to.
Qualifications
All applicants must have a Master’s degree or education at an equivalent level related to the field of research of the respective position. According to the formal PhD regulations, an average grade B or better from the Master’s degree, in addition to a grade B or better of the final master project, is required. The degree of the applicant must have been awarded before the commencement date of the PhD project.
Applicants who do not master a Scandinavian language must provide evidence of good English language skills, written and spoken.
The staff at the faculty work in different research teamst, and the candidate must be motivated to share his or her knowledge and cooperate. Personal suitability for the position will be emphasized.
Admission as a research fellow is made on the condition of appointment to the doctoral programme in Applied Micro- and Nanosystems.
