The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Embedded Intelligence at Loughborough University was born from a desire to address these requirements, originating with the intention to equip and train future managers, innovators and leaders to develop our boundless digital future and translate these technologies to the end-user.
We are seeking excellent candidates with interests in automation, mechatronics and information and communication technologies (ICT) who want to study at a top 20 UK research-led University whilst working with industrial partners.
What we offer
Successful applicants will be offered a four-year studentship award that includes an enhanced EPSRC tax-free annual stipend of at least £17,553 and UK tuition fees covered. Furthermore, each student benefits from a personal training budget of £10,000 in addition to a research budget and support from academic members of staff and industrial partners.
Our PhD projects are industry-relevant and our comprehensive training programme is student-centric to support your research and personal development. The training programme is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and students gain a formal internationally recognised qualification in leadership and management during their studies.
