This year´s Summer School Program of School of Social Work (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, FHNW) focuses the question: Social Justice - A Normative Foundation for Social Work? and will take place in Basel from June 6th to 9th, 2017.
Key questions are:
- What is social justice and how is it discussed in different national and international contexts?
- What relevance has social justice for social work?
- What challenges can be identified for social work in relation to social justice?
International participants of Summer School 2017 will debate different views about social justice, and develop a broad perspective on social justice and social work through focusing on its relevance in the different fields of social work, including generational justice, family justice, cultural justice, and distributive justice.
Students coming in from international partner universities of HSA FHNW are invited to join this program and we look forward to welcome your students in Basel. There is limited number of places reserved for international students who like to take part. Participation is free of charge, travel and accommodation arrangements have to be organized self responsible - supported by our international office.
