International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- MHPSS Cultural Mediator (Arabic & Farsi speakers)

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in translation, social sciences, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in an English speaking context.
- Experience working at international development programs highly desirable
- Experience in translation/ interpretation services
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Kurdish, Urdu and French and ability to translate into English and vice versa
- Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Responsiveness to queries and referrals and be able to manage a varying workload
- Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
- Flexibility, openness to others, humanitarian motivation
- Training in interpretation or intercultural mediation is an asset
- Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups of people is an asset
