11-13/10/2017 - 12th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (Αθήνα)

HSCBB17, the 12th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics will take place at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, Athens, October 11th-13th 2017.

The Conference, which is the major annual event of HSCBB, aims at being a forum for researchers in the relevant fields from Greece and Cyprus to present their work and creatively interact for the establishment of scientific networks and collaborations.

HSCBB has worked towards and/or achieved a number of milestones in previous years including the membership of Greece to ELIXIR, the European Infrastructure project for life science informatics and the successful candidacy for the organization of the upcoming European Conference on Computational Biology, which will be held in Athens, September 9-12th of 2018.

HSCBB17 will have a special format this year focusing primarily on community projects and in particular the preparation of the upcoming ECCB18 conference. In this light two kickoff meetings will find place during the conference: the HSCBB student council meeting and the scientific and organizing committee meeting for supporting the ECCB 2018 event.
