This international training course is about making the most of learning in nature, rural environments and small towns by making use of GPS-based technology and mobile applications.
> General aim:
This training will offer 30 youth workers to gain practical experience, knowledge and understanding of how to design a non-formal learning programmes that are fun, educational and engaging for young people and youth workers (!).
> Themes addressed:
Rural-urban migration, creative use of rural environments, GPS-based technology, outdoor education.
> Countries involved:
The participants are expected to come from Estonia, Italy, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovenia.
> Participants profile:
Apply, should you are one of the countries above and you:
- you volunteer or work with young people who live in rural environments or small towns;
- you want to learn how to combine outdoor education activities and use of GPS-based technology
- you are ready to invest time into your personal and professional development
- you want to bring innovation back home to your young people, youth organisation and community
- you can communicate in English
- you are at least 18 years old.
>Duration: 5-13 May 2018
You may think, "this is a rather long course...", well, experiential and practical learning requires time and commitment. How else can we develop competencies (knowledge + skills + attitudes/values)?
Costs for this training will be covered through the Erasmus+ co-funding.
