PhD Positions in Infection Biology & Immunology, ZIBI Graduate School Berlin, Germany (2019)

The ZIBI Graduate School Berlin is an international doctoral program for research in infection biology and immunology. We are the roof of the International Max Planck Research School for Infectious Diseases and Immunology (IMPRS-IDI), the DFG Research Training Network 2046 “Parasite Infections: From Experimental Models to Natural Systems” and the Leibniz Graduate School for Rheumatology (LGRh). Our mission is to develop students into creative, responsible and self-confident young researchers.

We offer outstanding training and support in an excellent scientific network. Our faculty members are affiliated with internationally renowned research institutes in Berlin as well as the Berlin universities.

Projects will start in summer 2019. They are in the areas of:

- Host-pathogen interaction
- Pathogenicity mechanisms
- Host-pathogen co-evolution
- Chronic inflammations and autoimmune diseases
- Development, differentiation and activation of immune cells
- Antiviral and antimicrobial strategies and vaccine development

We are looking for highly motivated PhD candidates of all nationalities who are strongly committed to research and share our vision to improve world health.
