Inclusive Volunteering in Social Economy | Partnership-building Activity
30 April - 4 May 2019 | Ankara, Turkey
Following a 2017 Inclusion & Diversity Strategy Steering Group meeting with representatives of social economy and the Youth and Vocational Education Forum 2018 (hosted in UK as part of the long term Toward’s Collaborative Practice collaboration), social economy organisations have been identified as often having projects or activities that are particularly directed towards people in underprivileged situations. Despite frequently seeking committed volunteers to support their work, many organisations remain unaware of European volunteering funding opportunities, requirements and structures – such as the European Solidarity Corps. This partnership-building activity is a follow-up of the training course under the same topic taking place in Glasgow 10-14 December 2018
This 3-day activity will take place in Ankara from 30th April (arrival day) to 4th May (departure) 2019 and it will be a unique opportunity to find partners to create inclusive volunteering projects in the framework of ESC. Although the programme also covers jobs and traineeships opportunities, this activity will only focus on quality volunteering projects.
This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs or SALTO involved in this project.
