PhD Positions in Polymeric Biomaterials and their Biological Evaluation, Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany (2015)

The Institute of Biomaterial Science in Teltow of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht invites applications as PhD students (m/f) - in the field of polymeric biomaterials and their biological evaluation. The positions are planned for 3-years and will be initially a 1-year fixed term contract with subsequent evaluation.

Depending on scientific background and interests of the applicant, the work may be based in one or several of the following fields: i) synthesis and characterization of (multi)functional polymers and hydrogels, ii) stimuli-sensitive and active polymers, iii) polymer engineering of nano- and microstructures, v) polymer-based drug release systems, or vi) (stem) cell-material interactions. You will be responsible for the benchwork of your own projects and will furthermore actively participate in the publication of the results.
