ESC Team at Monte Barro Hostel: Volunteer in Promoting Environmental Sustainability

The Hostel Parco Monte Barro is an eco-hostel with environmentally sustainable values and practices. It is located in the heart of Monte Barro Regional Park, 750 meters above sea level. The hostel is housed in an ancient hermitage, with only a small 16th-century church remaining. The ESC Team project will involve a group of 15 volunteers who will work alongside the hostel staff to manage and improve sustainable practices and activities.

The group will be divided into two smaller groups, and every group will have the chance to do all activities. Activities will take place indoor and outdoor. Main activities will include, creative recycling, up cycling, maintenance, and development of the space of the hostel.

One day per week during the whole project will be dedicated to the preparation of the campaign and then safeguarding an important colony of toads that leaves nearby. The organisation will host workshops on various topics and organise visits with some activities in sustaining sustainability of the nearby areas.
