Online Training Course: "EMPOWER: In-Service Training Programme for Educators"

In-service training for Educators on how to deal with domestic violence in family settings and as a guideline for the implementation of the pedagogy induction programme for parents.

The In-Service Training programme will comprise of a total of 3 days learning, with the following breakdown of learning hours:
- Day 1 will provide an introductory workshop introducing the topic of domestic violence in Europe, services working in this field in each country (this will be completed through a service mapping exercise), advice and role-play activities for making effective referrals; before introducing the basic principles of good family learning practice;
- Day 2 will provide a workshop that demonstrate best practice in supporting family learning model; including an introduction to the Family Learning Toolkit; advice and guidance for supporting families at-risk to complete the Family Learning Programme as well as guidance on delivering the induction to pedagogy programme for parents;
- Day 3 will provide a workshop that demonstrate best practice in developing and producing Comic Strips and Audio Books using available open-source software. Here educators will work in pairs or small teams to practice producing one of each type of resource – one comic strip and one audio book.
