Training Course: "Gender Equality at Work"
11-18 September 2022 | International Scout Center Rustavi, Georgia
This project is based on non-formal education and aimed for the youth. During the week, participants will take part in different workshops and learning visits in Tbilisi. They will then create an outcome in relation to the project. Our goal is to make participants gender aware and able to mainstream gender around them and at work with the youth. We are looking forward to implementing new practices, developing knowledge and interest towards gender questions, and bringing skills that will allow youth workers to create friendly, inclusive, gender aware work environments. Participants will be able to use a gender reading grid, identify discriminations, inequalities, gender gaps and stereotypes, implement better communication at work and with their public, define gender-oriented goals and targets for their workplace, put on gender lenses and adopt a gender-aware perspective in their everyday work, monitor progress and promote gender- aware behavior among staff, create equal, respectful and peaceful work relationships, make a diagnosis of equality achievement and formulate guidance for their organisation. Finally, they will find a common language with the youth they are in contact with every day, open dialogue with them and be in better capacity to deal with complex problems related to gender.
