Training Course: "Theater: Connecting the Balkans"

During the 10-days training course, we will discover how the various theatre methods can be used in youth work. Participants will learn about the theatre of the oppressed, improvisation theatre, puppetry, shadow theatre, image theatre…
The aim of this project is to organise a training course in Slovenia involving 25 youth workers from 13 European countries, including the Western Balkan countries.
The training course will introduce participants to different theatre methods which can be used in youth work, share their experiences, reflect on extremism, plan activities in their countries with the aim to reduce passivity and polarisation of young people, especially young people at risk of exclusion, marginalisation and subject to extremist behaviour. Participants will learn about the theatre of the oppressed, improvisation theatre, puppetry, shadow theatre, image theatre… On the end of the project they will create a theatre performance and perform it for local community.
